English: Plan of Aden, with an insert of Perim Island ("I. Babelmandel or Vera Cruz"). By Captain H. Cornwall. Published in 1782. Initially published for Captain Cornwall in 1720 in Observations Upon Several Voyages to India out and Home; Also Remarks on the Ports and Places Touched (...) Interestingly, this plan seems to indicate that, at such an early date, there already was an association made between Aden and Perim Island at the mouth of the Bab-el-Mandeb Straits. |
